We Promise We Will NOT:

• Send your data to any external servers or cloud services
• Share your personal information with any third parties
• Use your data for advertising or user profiling

4. Data Storage and Security

All data is stored locally on your device using SQLite database. We take the following measures to protect your data:

• Local Storage Only: Data is stored only on your device with no network transmission
• System Security: Follows Android/iOS system security mechanisms
• App Sandbox: Sandbox isolation prevents access from other apps
• No Cloud Sync: We do not offer cloud synchronization, ensuring your data never leaves your device

Since all data is stored locally, the security of your information depends on your device's security. We recommend:

• Using a strong device lock screen password
• Keeping your device's operating system up to date
• Regularly backing up your data using the export feature

5. Permissions Explanation

The App requires the following permissions to provide full functionality:

• Contacts Permission (READ_CONTACTS) [Optional]: Used to read contact information for quickly creating birthday reminders. You can deny this permission and still use the app by manually entering information.
• Notification Permission [Required]: Used to send birthday and event reminder notifications at scheduled times. This is the core functionality of the app.
• Storage Permission [Optional]: Used to export reminder data as CSV files and import backup data.
• Background Permission [Required]: Used to accurately send scheduled reminders in the background, ensuring you don't miss important dates.
• Exact Alarm Permission (Android 12+) [Required]: Used to trigger reminder notifications at precise times.

You can manage these permissions at any time in your device settings. Revoking certain permissions may affect some app features but will not affect your stored data.

6. Data Control Rights

6.1 Data Export

You have complete control over your data. You can export your reminder data as a CSV file at any time through the in-app "Data Export" feature, making it easy to backup or migrate to other devices.

6.2 Data Import

You can import previously exported data files to quickly restore your reminder settings.

6.3 Data Deletion

You can delete data through the following methods:

• Delete individual birthday reminders or events within the app
• Batch delete multiple reminders
• Clear app data in device settings (will delete all reminders and settings)
• Uninstalling the app will automatically delete all locally stored data

Note: Deleted data cannot be recovered unless you have previously exported a backup.

7. Children's Privacy

The App does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 years of age. If you are a parent or guardian and discover that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will promptly delete the relevant information.

Since the app operates entirely offline and stores data only on the device, we have no access to any user data, including children's data.

8. Privacy Policy Updates

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal, operational, or regulatory reasons. The updated policy will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date.

12. International Users

Goodday Reminder is available worldwide. Since all data is stored locally on your device and no data is transmitted to external servers, there are no international data transfer concerns. Your data remains in your jurisdiction at all times.
